Ballet
Ballet is such a unique art form. You can say things through dance that you could never express in words, and ballet has the ability to touch people on a deep, abstract level. It has become a widespread, highly technical form of dance with its own vocabulary based on French terminology.
We Offer Ballet classes designed for all ages and skill levels, whether your child has attended Ballet classes or not, we have a class for them!
Adult Barre
According to Cosmopolitan,
“Barre fitness is a hybrid workout class - combining ballet-inspired moves with elements of Pilates, dance, yoga and strength training. Most classes incorporate a ballet barre and use classic dance moves such as plies, alongside static stretches, the classes also focus on high reps of small range movements. Barre delivers a full body workout, but it's great for strengthening your core and toning your glutes and legs. Because ballet barre is low impact, it's great if you’re recovering from an injury (let the instructor know if you have an injury so they can modify exercises accordingly!). Many barre classes can also be modified so they are a safe workout option for pre or post-natal clients. Barre workouts are also a good cross-training option to pair with other exercise like running, weight lifting or cycling, because they strengthen the muscles needed for these exercises without being too stressful on the body.”
Competition Team
What, might you ask, Is a Dance Competition team?? Competitive dance is where dancers from all around the country head to competitions within the region to show off what they have learned and worked on during the year. Each dance is only performed one time for a panel of trained judges. The judges then score the dances based off of many different factors, and also provide feedback that dancers receive once the competition is over.
Competition teaches the dancer discipline, teamwork and perseverance. Our competition teams start at the age of five and goes through teens! Our teams become more like an awesome family, and we would love to have your dancer join our family!!!
Performance Team
.Our performance team is a group of dancers who take thirty- forty five minute dance combo (Tap/Jazz or Tap/Ballet) classes once a week to perform in multiple events and recitals during the year. These classes are usually for those just starting out in dance, or looking to perform without the commitment of competition!
